Gloves Extreme Cold Weather (Modified) – Set of Inner and Outer

OVERVIEW
The need to indigenize protective equipment used in the Siachen Sector by Indian Army Personnel.
A unique design of the gloves that amalgamates traditional ECW Gloves with the requirement of handling weapons. A large number of raw materials due to the complexity of design and functionality desired from the equipment made it a challenging project.
Each of the 12 components had to be developed from scratch to suit the functionality desired from the equipment, while at the same time keeping in mind domestic industry capability and capacity.
Special cross-training of craftsmen on the production of inner and outer gloves to ensure appreciation of form & fit the functionality of both groups leading to superior fitting and finish between both.
Based on the work on this project we got a Transfer of Technology to form the DRDO which eventually led to the largest ever contract for dual layer protective gloves by the Indian Army.
